CONTROL MODULES...
...are receivers which "hear" the signals on the home's AC power lines and do the actual switching, dimming, etc. They may be wired-in, replacing your existing wall switches or outlets, or they might be small modules that plug or screw into your power outlets or lightbulb sockets between the switched device and the AC outlet.

SECURITY SYSTEMS...
...include alarm panels which monitor networks of alarm sensors, and interface with the rest of the home automation system. The sensors are all wirefree, sending digitally encoded status reports to the system. They include window, door and glass entry sensors, infrared motion detectors and a host of other devices. Tiny wirefree cameras can let you look into childrens' rooms, see who is at a door or outside the house.
Security can mean convenience, too, with electric door locks that you can open with a coded keychain remote control without having to set down an armload of groceries or a baby.

ENERGY CONTROL...
...includes special thermostats that can communicate with the house, allowing it to zone heating and cooling so different rooms can be set to varying comfort levels, dependant upon whether they are in use at the time. Electronic damper controls can increase or reduce airflow as needed. There are also major appliance controls, which allow the house to cycle them on and off to match off-peak times of the day, when power may be less expensive.

HOME ENTERTAINMENT DISTRIBUTION...
...allows you to listen to, view and control audio and video entertainment systems from any room in your home. By integrating your home theater with your lighting and appliance automation controls, a single press of a button on a remote can dim lighting, close drapes and start a movie playing on your television. As always at Wirefree Home Automation, there are no wires to pull, so you can move entertainment equipment anywhere in your house anytime, without being locked-in to a particular room or furniture arrangement.
